Cassandra was not aware of Aliyah's feelings while she was talking to her.  This was not unusual for Cassandra, for she was often oblivious to the moment in front of her.

Out of pages for this chapter I'm probably most pleased with this one. I still handwrote the text which I'm still not happy with but am happier with than my fonts selection. (For whatever reason GIMP isn't liking me lately for that.) Oh well. I'm going to try to figure out my scanner today and hopefully I'll be okay with that.

The composition of this page is pretty good. I like how you drew Aliyah's reactions (probably would be how I would react too). Do we find out why Cassandra acts the way she does in this chapter?

@Annie: Cassandra experiences time a bit differently from the rest of us and doesn't understand how the rest of us experience it. Things may become clearer later, but Cassandra's behavior is very much so not supposed to make sense at this point. The things she says will make sense later on in the story.
